A wonderful Chinese hand painted landscape painting on paper, this painting exhibits the typical soft colors and realism of atmosphere and micro detailing that reflects the artistry of the 19th century, study the mountains and the Buddhist temple in relation to the airy open space, just fantastic! There is an artist seal chop just below the calligraphy and one Owner's Seal to the lower right side of the painting...

Chinese Daoist painting on paper. The colors are still strong and vibrant. There is some creasing through out, but otherwise in good condition the painting measures: 27.5" long x 20". The whole scroll measures 74" long x 45.5" wide.

1950s era Chinese Rose Quartz brush washer styled as a pond having a hand carved amethyst Mandarin duck resting on the only flat spot on top. The rose quartz of a high quality and finely polished. The duck is well carved and pegged into the top and you can turn it slightly. However, I would not know if you would be asking for trouble if you tried pulling it out. A beautiful piece, it measures 4.5” long, 2.5” wide, and 2” high including duck.

A Chinese brush or ink cake rest in scroll shape. Made of porcelain, beautifully painted in the Qianjiang Palette, showing a river landscape. The sides with some gold paint. Base with four unglazed feet. Dating to the late Qing / early Republic period. Condition: gilding with little wear. Dimension: 8 cm long x 3.3 cm wide x 1.8 cm high.

A very unusual and extremely rare ink cake in the form of a crouching dog, circa 1800. From its underside you see evidence that the ink cake was hand molded, what is even more remarkable is that this is a white ink cake, and most likely would have been used in special paintings of the scholar class. Chinese Qing dynasty ink and color on silk painting of a maiden in a garden setting seated on rockery and holding a flower under a willow tree. The ink inscription at the upper left states the painting was executed in the guimao year (1843) after Ming artist Tang Yin (1470-1524). Signed Wujin artist Tang Luming (1804-1874) and with two red artist seals, "Tang Luming yin" and "Lemin." An unidentified collector’s seal is at the lower left. Antique Chinese brush pot. Carved of beautiful, heavy and dense huanghuali wood. Dark color wood with dark patina and lighter honey brown striations. Thick sides, carved with slight outward flare, wider at the mouth. Foot and rim are carved with subtle, fine cusp. With plug in bottom. A prized object for any scholar's table.

A well-made ink-stone box of heavy, rose wood (hongmu). The lid inlaid with thin bamboo slips to form a sentence of four characters reading: “Auspecious Blessings as You Please (Jixiang ruyi).” Late Qing, ca. 1900. L 24 cm, W 15 cm, H 5 cm. Condition: Perfect (very minor wear due to use).

A Chinese literati themed landscape fan painting with a signature reading the name of Li Ching-yi. The soft pastel colors and brush strokes of the landscape evoke the preferences of the literati scholar tradition. Age: Qing Dynasty 18th/19th century. Size: Length: 19.75" Width: 12.6"

A rare and beautiful, flattened form bamboo box with cover, probably used as a seal paste or brush washer. It is carved out from the root part of bamboo and nicely polished. Inside the lid a compass (no longer functioning). Qing, 18–19th cent. H 3 cm, D 7,5 cm. Condition: Over-all fine, and really good, old patina, but with small chip to lid.
