Glass charm emulating white nephrite Jade inscribed with delicate Arabic verses from the Koran on both sides. This set is in silver with a copper loop to hold on a chord. I bought this in Hong Kong so original provenance is unknown- possibly from the Xinjiang, Turkic Uyghur speaking area. Chinese monochrome yellow Peking Glass brush pot. Historically, many pieces of Peking glass were made with yellow glass (dubbed "Imperial Yellow") due to the colors' strong association with the Qing Imperial clan of Aisin Gioro. The glass was commonly used in vases and brush pots where it was used to imitate the harder to work jade and other precious stones.

Very nice Imperial yellow hand carved Chinese wine cup. The bowl is accented with carving details in the stems and lotus areas for added appeal. The shape of the bowls reflects those porcelain counterparts that were popular around the late Qing and early republic periods. Condition is excellent without any chips, cracks, hairlines, or restoration. Measures 4.5 inches high by 2.5" in diameter. Stand not included.
