A delicate antique Chinese Tea Box with exquisitely decorated gilt relief. It has a pewter box lining with a glass knob. The lacquer shows images of a pavillion setting with trees and a border of flowers. The pewter box has a primitive etching of scholars with rocks and grasses. The interior top is lacquer with two gold fronds.

Date: 18th Century

It has rubbing of paint, a chip at the hat's finial, chips and cracks at one spot at the sleeve, stains, writing at the underside of the hat, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Carved in fine detail is this deep red cinnabar box of a scholar with young boy in a garden setting. Made in the traditional method of applying many layers of cinnabar red lacquer, the carvings are deep and well executed. The inside and bottom of this box are black lacquer. In excellent condition, this box dates approximately 1910-1920 and measures about 4” x 2” (10 cm x 5 cm)

Antique Chinese small brass box inset with beautifully carved cinnabar panels on all sides, carved with peony blossoms, center of lid is inset with carved polychrome figure of a lady with flowers, edges of brass are enameled with tiny colorful flowers, circa 1920's. It's decorated with red undertone and gilt lacquer in a scrolling lotus motif. The main back splat forms an archaic Hu vase painted with fine details of a classical landscape. The seat is beautifully worn as are the chair rails and arm rests. The underside of the chair has a cross frame for structural support...

A rare, antique Chinese Imperial court necklace presentation case. Gilt, red lacquered formed and stitched thin wood armature with carved or pressed fret pattern on sides and top also with auspicious symbols and characters conveying congratulations upon promotion. Diameter, about 7 5/8 inches (19.37 cm). Height, about 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm). Very good condition with tasteful and old conservation to small areas of lacquer and expected rubbing to gilt surface...
