A very unique jade carving of a bird's head with a tapered body. The black coloring is the result of a long burial period. Under certain lighting conditions the jade has a translucent appearance. I tried to capture some of it in the photos. Provenance: From Beijing many years ago from an old Chinese collector. Size: L. 6.4cm. W. 4cm. Condition: No cracks or repairs.

A very rare necklace of 78 glass beads (green, blue-green, opaque white & translucent). Five (5) of the largest beads have a dark caramel colored glass streaked/looped design. Period: Han Dynasty Size: Length = 20 inches (51 cm.) Condition: The glass beads have iridescence (seen under magnification) and some calcification due to long period of burial. Can be cleaned.

Chinese Neolithic jade carving of a bird, carved of the Hongshan culture (4700-2900 BC), with orange areas in contrast to the overall green tone. The back of the bird's head is carved with a small hole to be worn as a pendant.

Rare amber Buddhist mala or prayer beads, with 18 large beads for keeping count when reciting a mantra. Each large bead and spacer is carved from old amber tree resin with marbled color of black, red, and yellow. The strand has a tassel on its end.

Necklace made of beautifully hand carved jadeite beads, gradually becoming larger the further from the nape of the neck they are strung, with smaller round jadeite beads alternating in between. Can be loosened or tightened using the string pulls at the top, which also have two small and one large carved jade bead at the ends. Apple green highlights can be seen. A fine, vintage necklace of natural and graduate Italian red coral beads. Largest central bead diameter 12 mm. smallest 4 mm. Clasp: 14K gold marked with goldsmith EKJ and a large Coral Cabochon: 16 mm long x 9 mm. The coral strand necklace is made of 91 pearls and it is 54 cm long. Weight: 36 grams. From the 40/50’s. Excellent condition.

2 belt buckles (or fibulae) in cast bronze and hot-gilded with mercury. Decorated in relief with bats and clouds on an engraved amati background. In the center are set white jade plates cut in the shape of stylized bats. Two half-pearls are set on the hooks, as they are very worn it is difficult to identify the material, probably reddish translucent stone but perhaps glass paste? Chinese work from the beginning of the Qing period, end of the 17th or beginning of the 18th century...
