A wonderful example of a carved an painted mid 18th C. Mongolian storage cabinet with flat table top surface. Antique Chinese low rectangular table made of carved lacquer in the tixi technique and decorated with guri "sword-pommel pattern". The lacquer is applied in multiple thin coats of alternating black and red then carved down to reveal the layers. The underside of the table is carved with a four character mark.
