$8,000.00 A set of four vary rare blackwood Hungmu lady's side chairs. The chairs match as a pair except for the back panels. Two have a square and two have a circle. This most likely had some meaning for the owner.

In all the years that I have been collecting Chinese furniture, this is the only pair of ironwood chairs I have come across. Ironwood is usually been confused with jichimu. Chinese Qing dynasty hardwood wardrobe cabinet with two large doors and a lower apron carved with a flying bat motif. A round round brass lock plate is at the center. The doors and center bar are removable. Supporting wood beams in the interior can hold removable shelves. The cabinet was previously used as an armoire and has been modified to hold a hanging bar. 19th century. 70" high x 49 1/4" wide x 20 3/4" deep...

$7,000.00 Chinese hardwood altar table, made of solid elm wood with its original red lacquer finish. Carved with dramatic scrolling legs on elevated feet. Five panel carvings in front depict various scenes with auspicious elements, dragon carvings in archaic style, the underside with scalloped edges. The altar style edges curl upwards in a scrolling fashion, with reticulated carvings of dragons below either side.

SOLD Antique Chinese pair of tall hardwood stands, carved to look like they are comprised of stalks of bamboo. The tops show their natural woodgrain beautifully through the dark finish. The underside panels and connecting unit between its legs are designed like reticulated bamboo.

$35,000.00 A very rare Chinese veneer huanghuali cabinet with the original marble inserts. The back of the cabinet still has the original fiber coating that was used during the Ming and early Ching Dynasties. This cabinet was most likely made during the transitional period from Ming to Ching.
Age: Early 18th Century
Size: H.189cm W. 126cm D. 63cm
Condition: All original. The drawers are probably a replacement. Normal wear.
