Antique Chinese hardwood altar table with hand carved lingzhi spiral apron joined in upturned flanges. The feet are spanned by an openwork of hand carved panels with drapery motifs. Original warm finish. Very sturdy, condition consistent with age.

DESCRIPTION: A colorfully painted Tibetan chest with four side drawers having leather strap pulls (two drawers on each side). The chest is painted with green floral panels having red floral borders and is supported by short legs. A carved key fret pattern decorates the neck just below the top. Dating from the 19th C, this chest is in good condition with very minor scuffs to paint. DIMENSIONS: 33” high x 28.5” wide x 18”deep.

Long Chinese Qing dynasty hardwood bench crafted with four panels on the back rest, a curved front apron, and comfortable armrests. 19th century. 74 3/4" long x 29" high (17 1/2" high to seat) x 23" deep (21 1/4" depth of seat). Very sturdy and in very good overall condition. There are some minor separations from our dry Arizona climate. There is a small wood loss and old filled crack at one side of the bottom apron. A nice lacquer screen mirror used by Scholars in their work tables. The mirror is surrounded by the usual key fret design while the base is carved with the auspicious melon, peony and peach, representing longevity and prosperity. The mirror looks like it is the original mirror. Size: H. 62.5cm. W. at the base, 41.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Normal wear and some age cracks.

Massive Chinese late 19th century two door elmwood wardrobe cabinet with carved lower apron in a natural finish. A separate two door hat cabinet fits on top of the chest. The interior of the chest features two interior shelves, one with two drawers. The hat cabinet has one interior shelf. Chinese altar table constructed of hardwood and bamboo with original red lacquer finish. The woven bamboo creates openwork motifs of geometric design from all sides. Dates from late 19th c to early 20th c.

Chinese hardwood coffer cabinet, with relief carvings throughout of floral motifs with pigments. The front of the cabinet holds three drawers, opened by brass pulls. The sides and apron of the cabinet are carved with openwork foliate scrolls.

Chinese hardwood cabinet made with Jumu (elm) or "chicken wing" wood and brass pulls and mounts. The double front doors showcase the dramatic natural grain. Behind each set of doors are a red lacquered interior with single shelving. The mid section of the cabinet holds two drawers that open with auspicious lucky bat handles.

Rare pair of Blackwood side chairs. These were usually reserved for the men. This is classical Northern Chinese design. Very simple but elegant, classical Ming design. My favorite type of Chinese furniture. Size: H.104cm W.52cm. Age: 18th century Condition: Old repair on one leg. See last photo.

Chinese antique hardwood box inlaid with stone in a scene of figures in a garden. The hinged lid of the box opens to reveal a mirror underneath and a storage area for jewelry or cosmetics divided into six compartments.

Dimensions: 2 1/2" high x 8" wide x 5 3/4" wide.

Chinese hardwood painting table. The whole body, except for the top, is carved in relief with lingzhi fungus. The waist, the apron, and the connecting joints are also decorated. The legs are cabriole with block carved hoof feet.

Dimensions: 68" x 28 1/2" x 34" H

The everted flanges are joined to the end of the top and rail, and the spandrel is of two scrolling dragons carved in low relief. The legs of the table rest on horizontal feet. Between the legs are a carved pendant of double motifs of ruyi scepters and pair of scrolling dragons.

The set is entirely carved in high relief of lingzhi fungus intertwined and layered, creating an imaginative form of a deer, frog, and other figures. The throne-like chair with a waist, five panel slats and stiles, and slight carved cabriole legs all finely carved and connected. The tea table is waist high with a mitered corner and a smooth surface. The cabriole legs are supported with an additional stretcher for strength...

A pair of Chinese bamboo horseshoe chairs, of steam bent, tied, pegged and notched construction. The continuous horseshoe rail and arm rest has tied, cane split bamboo throughout the furniture. It is made to secure and create a decorative pattern. The open back slat frame has a geometric Shou pattern and a double happiness motif.
