Chinese colossal armchair in carved wood. Dimensions of an Imperial throne. Excellent quality wood, very hard with very fine grain, excessively heavy (an armchair weighs 80kg) nice grain. Intricate but elegant perfect cabinetmaker work. Sculptures in relief and cut with a total mastery of the tool. The drawings are precise, elegant and show no fault of chisel or taste. In addition, all the subjects treated have traditional Chinese meanings, longevity, fortune, luck, marital happiness, etc...

Chinese teakwood tabletop display stand. Each of the four tiers for holding objects has carved frieze decoration. 18” wide x 15” high x 5 1/4" deep. 20th century. Very good overall condition. A vintage Chinese coffer altar cabinet in the Ming style made entirely of Huanghuali wood including the back and the interior shelves. All original brass square plate and loop handles with a pair of double hinged doors and 3 side by side drawers above. With classic spandrels and apron for the feet. The maker spared no expense using the finest quality materials and joinery craftsmanship in producing this piece.

Large Chinese hongmu cabinet with beautifully carved motifs of scrolling clouds and dragons on the panels of the cabinets, frames, and pillars. Vintage chinese wood chair from the 1960s, the wood is carved to imitate bamboo. The back is carved with a design of bamboo leaves. It measures 38" tall, the seat measures 18" deep by 23" wide. 1 of a set of 4, available as a set or individually.

This wonderful piece has carved and pierced trim and case work, much like the large antique etageres, having a pair of doors and a small drawer with raised panels. Large Chinese pedestal desk, 4 sections, 4 drawers across the top, each pedestal has 2 additional drawers on either side, separate foot rest with cracked ice design, made of dark hardwood with light hardwood burl in three panels on top of desk, light hardwood burl also used on drawer fronts and on the top panels on the sides and around the back of the desk, Republic Period. Size: 33 3/4" high x 69" wide x 27 1/2" deep.

A marvelous three panel table screen done in a combination of Chinese hardwood and porcelain blanc de chine style panels. The central panel is an image of chrysanthemums in full bloom, the left panel is depicting bamboo and the right panel is a branch with dogwood-like flowers with a vine attached to its branches.
