Lead glaze with copper is the main colorant used in Han period to produce brown glaze. Brownware became popular during the Eastern Han period.

A Longquan cup was in rarely-seen Chrysanthemum shape. Finely mold and was applied with pale green agate-feel glaze on the surface, the cup was stand on a small foot ring which in slightly everted wall. A molding navel was in the center of the foot ring when darken brownish tint was revealed at the body clay. Glaze crackles and obvious incursions were happened to the glaze. A green-glazed jarlet was mold in a trumpet form. On the wide shoulder, a circular band of flower motifs were decorated in a fine look. It was well preserved except some old frets were found on the rims. Fine crackles and iridescence condition were yielded due to age. Date: Liao Dynasty, 907-1125. Width: 10.9cm, Height: 7.3cm.
