Fine Chinese Yuan / Ming Dynasty Longquan Celadon Porcelain Bowl with Incised Design

This "heavily-potted" porcelain bowl was made in the 13th - 14th century during the Yuan (AD 1279 - 1368) or early Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), most likely at the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province. The upper outer wall is decorated with an incised wave pattern. It is coated in a crackled celadon glaze of good colour...

The vase is decorated with a mountainous, rocky river landscape that depicts brightly robed scholars at leisure in pavilions within bamboo groves, pine trees and birds formations, all between decorative bands and keyfret scroll. The base with a three-character mark. Condition: very good condition. Some wearing at the guiding. No ships, hairlines or restorations. Measurement: 22 cm = 8.67 inch

A rare finely painted pair of underglaze blue decorated dragon and phoenix 'wedding' dishes made in Jingdezhen, southern China, and exported to Europe in the late 19th or early 20th Century during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). This fine pair of tall and impressive porcelain jars was made in the 13th - 14th century, toward the end of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368).
