A Beautifully carved tube shaped jade. It is hard to date this piece and say that it is from the Hongshan period (3000BC). It is most likely from a later period as these item are extremely rare. Chinese Neolithic Hongshan Culture small jade carving of a pig dragon (zhulong) used as a burial object. The dragon is curled in an "embryonic" position. The bottom portion is carved in the form of an insect with large protruding eyes. The dragon portion of the jade is mottled green while the bottom portion is orange in color being closer to the outer rind of the jade stone.

Antique Quanyin stone carving, the bodhisattva of compassion. She is seated upon a lotus throne with her legs crossed in the lotus position, her left hand holding a container, with her right hand performing the akash mudra or Buddhist hand gesture, increasing the space element within. She wears beautiful open robes with delicate patterns and a crown upon her head.

Dates circa 1920.

Pair of (1940's) Chinese Cherry Amber Carved Vase with Kids

Each is 13.3 inches (34 cm) tall by 6.2 inches (15.9 cm) wide, and 11.75 inches (30 cm) tall by 5.6 inches (14.2 cm) wide without stand. The amber are 3192 gram. The total weight is 7.7 Lb.

The amber have small chips, inclusions, and surface wears and scratches. The wood carved stands have cracks and one stand was glued back (as seen in the photos).

Antique Chinese pair of stone temple door supports with carvings of fu dogs, seated on tanggu (ceremonial drums) on large pedestals. Intricately carved detail with emblems of dragons and auspicious characters on the front of each pedestal. The smaller female fu dog on the left is carved with her mouth closed, while the larger male on the right has an open mouth. This is a typical depiction to represent the sacred mantra "om". Set of 3 19th Century Chinese Soapstone Carved Scholar Figures

The tallest one is 3 inches (7.7 cm) tall by 2.2 inches (5.5 cm) wide. The shortest one is 2.6 inches (6.5 cm) tall by 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) wide. Total weight is 0.9 Lb.

One figure is missing a head. They have small and flea bite chips, inclusions, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

A carved ivory container, cylindrical and lidded, with dragons chasing the flaming pearl. Chinese, late Qing, c 1900. Height including lid "3¾/ 9,8 cm. Condition: the lid lacks its knop and the foot rim border a tip.

Unusual Chinese temple corbel made of hand carved wood. With black, red, and gilt lacquer pigments, carved with the head of a dragon, a bird, and flora. Very interesting style of carving, similar to that of Mayan imagery.
