A nicely carved 19th c white jade belt buckle, of reticulated qilong dragon form. The tone of the jade is of a translucent grayish white.

Condition: Some minor age-related wear to the jade surface...

A nicely carved very light pale celadon jade monkey on a bamboo swing that would make a nice pendant. This monkey is very life-like with a lot of character representing the year of the monkey. Size: H. 4cm. W. 3.2cm. Condition: Perfect.

DESCRIPTION: An antique Chinese boxwood toggle (Guajian) carved as a pair of men’s shoes resting side by side, a symbol of marital harmony and the wish for many sons. The shoes are elaborately carved with hollowed interior, relief banding, and incised designs on all sides including the soles. A hole running through the inner sides of each shoe forms the track used for threading cords from which this toggle would have been suspended as a counterweight to some other object...

19th Century Chinese White Jade Carved Thick Boy Silver Toggle

The entire length is 4 inches (10.1 cm) including the chain. The boy is 1.96 inches (5 cm) tall by 1.25 inches (3.1 cm) wide and 22.85 mm thick. It is 57.4 gram.

The boy has flea bite chips and inclusions. The silver is tarnished (as seen in the photos).

A Chinese jade vase of flat baluster shape with Mughal style carving of flora and foliage to the body and the cover decorated with lappets. The vase is well hollowed and the stone is of pale hue with one natural vein. Age; late Qing, early 20 C. size: 16.3 cm high. condition; very good.

A Chinese jade libation cup of pale green hue with a flash of russet, carved in the shape of a peach and standing on a five petal support. The outside has scrolling foliage and the handle is formed as a flower spray with a flat reticulated top surface. An excellent example of 16/17 century lapidary art and in excellent condition. Finely carved mask representing a demon, with expressive features, a protruding forehead bearing a third eye, protruding eyes, beaked nose, open mouth showing teeth. Wood, with remnants of polychrome painting. China, Qing Dynasty, early 19th century or earlier. Height: 23 cm. The mask,is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Old accidents and insect infestations (no danger), otherwise good condition. A very rare piece.

Antique Chinese round jadeite plaque carving. With a freely-moving pierced jade center, surrounded by lingzhi mushroom motif carvings. The outermost exterior of the piece is carved with a pair of dragons or serpents touching snouts.

Antique Chinese hardwood brush pot. Made of huanghuali wood (Dalbergia odorifera) of a cylindrical shape, the base with a slight protruding lip. The front of the brush pot is carved with a stylized bamboo forest; The opposite side carved with a calligraphy inscription and artist's chops. The original finish brings out the natural "ghost eye" woodgrain characteristic of huanghuali.

A rare Ironwood (Tieli) clapper with three beautiful pieces. The two inner clappers are tied together for sound. The sound of the wooden clappers sets the rhythm of the music as well as some of the actions of the performers. Age: 19th century. Size:L.27cm. Width at the widest point is 2.5cm.
