This is a pale celadon and russet jade plaque, dating to the Qing dynasty. The piece is entirely worked by hand, with no indication of modern/machine carving (or re-carving). It measures 2-1/2 inches in length and has been perforated lengthwise to permit it to be strung with a cord and worn. The reverse side has been carved with a series of symbols. Antique Chinese vase with lid, made of green jadeite, with 8 faceted sides. Carved with scrolling floral motifs and filigree, with open carved filigree handles. The lid has a large finial over carved drapery. The base is carved with a lotus form over the tall, deeply recessed foot.

19th Century Chinese White Jade Carved Plaque Ruyi

It is 23.2 inches (59 cm) long by 5.4 inches (13.8 cm) wide. The largest jade plaque is 5.1 inches (13 cm) long by 4.7 inches (12.1 cm) wide. The smallest jade plaque is 2.8 inches (7.3 cm) long by 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) wide. It is 1.75 Lb.

It wood carving has chips, cracks, and surface wears and scratches. The jade plaques have surface wears and scratches and inclusions (as seen in the photos)...

Chinese carved white jade with orange coloration areas, in the form of a bunch of lingzhi mushroom sprigs. The lingzhi symbolizes good health and longevity, as depicted in the imperial Forbidden City and Summer Palace. It is a talisman for luck in traditional Chinese culture, and the goddess Guanyin is sometimes depicted holding a lingzhi sprig. Provenance: Howard Caplain Estate

Antique Chinese carved jade belt hook. Topped with pierced chimera, carved dragon's head over the hook, and archaic scrolls. These belt hooks symbolized the wearer's elite social status as the means of obtaining them was not accessible to those of a lower class.

A large and impressive image of olive-green soapstone (shoushanshi) depicting the demon-catcher Chonggui in martial pose standing above the small image of a seated demon disguised as a Buddhist monk. Extremely fine details. Late Qing Dynasty. H 24 cm. Condition: Excellent.
