16th Century Chinese White Jade Carved Plaque with Dragon Table Screen

It is 7.3 inches (18.5 cm) tall by 6 inches (15.2 cm) wide measured with stand. The plaque is 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) in length by 3.1 inches (8 cm) wide. It is 203.8 gram including stand.

It has flea bite chips, inclusions and surface wears and scratches. It has missing piece at the wood stand (as seen in the photos).

The Bixie was well carved with protruding eyes, ruyi-shaped nose, curved ears and single-horned head.
By vividly depicted ribs on its abdomen and the flouring hairs of the tails, the fairy beast was rest on the flat bottom in plain form-an important characteristic for early jade carvings.

Antique Chinese Jade belt hook carved in the form of a duck or a goose. The artist who carved the jade piece utilized the dark inclusions to carve the bill and feet. Age: Song Dynasty Size: height 0.75" width 0.9" length 2.1"

This is a superbly well carved jade piece dating, I believe, most probably to the Song dynasty, circa 1100AD, although possibly a tad later. The jade is a grayish-green nephrite and is truly the work of a highly accomplished artist. It measures some 3" in length and is 2" in height (7.5cm X 5cm). 1/4" in depth (1mm). A real beauty! Late 6th Century Northern Qi Dynasty (550 - 577) buddha carved of limestone. The three dimensional standing form is mounted in a custom weighted base for display. Right arm creates negative space between the torso as well between each feet. Textile is comfortably hangs with pleaded folds fans out around lower body. Tightly culded hair neatly formed. A nicely carved jade pig done in the Han style. Pigs represent prosperity and jade pigs were were placed in the hands of the deceased. Exceptionally thin and sharp cutting edge. 4 conical holes would have been for attaching to wooden handle on working versions of this type of blade. Likely from the Longshan culture.
