Very fine Chinese antique belt hook carved in the shape of a knot with a butterfly on either end, made of beautiful mottled jade ranging from white to grey to bright blue/green, a silver fitting on the back was added later to convert this clothing hook to a pin or broach.

He sits with one leg curled underneath himself, his left arm rested upon a carved stool or small table, with the face of a beast. He holds a scroll in his hand and creates a Buddhist mudra gesture with the same hand.

Unusual Chinese temple corbel made of hand carved wood. With black, red, and gilt lacquer pigments, carved with the head of a dragon, a bird, and flora. Very interesting style of carving, similar to that of Mayan imagery.

This old Chinese Ethnic Minority inro is carved from animal horn and has 2 compartments. Each side is carved with a floral motif that is bordered with a key design. These symbols are especially meaningful to the Miao ethnic culture. The inro was worn suspended from the belt by a braided cord. It is a attractive ethnographic relic for the tribal arts collector. Japanese noh theater mask of a young woman, carved with pierced eyes, mouth, and nostrils for the wearer, as well as two pierced holes at the temples to be secured against one's head. Lacquered in flesh tone, black hair and blackened teeth and eyes, red lips, and black lacquer interior. With kiri (paulownia) tomobako, inscribed with the name "Juuroku".

Antique Japanese Noh theatre mask of a young woman, or Onna. Hand-carved cypress wood with katabori chisel mark patina. Her face is hand-painted in dimensional flesh tones, with blackened teeth, red lips, and wisps of hair.

A Chinese silver gilt box set with two fine jade rings and decorated with semi precious stones and enamel details. The jades are of very pale hue and translucent whilst the gilt is in very good condition. Stamped " silver" to the base. Age: late Qing to early Republican period. Size: ten cm. high X 8 cm diameter. condition: very good, no restoration, no breaks.

The front of the brush pot is carved with a stylized bamboo forest; The opposite side carved with a calligraphy inscription and artist's chops. The original finish brings out the natural "ghost eye" woodgrain characteristic of huanghuali.
