Lovely pottery small lead glazed stove from the Eastern Han Dynasty (202 BCE – 220 CE). Minor fritting and a couple of chips on the upper corners, but overall, in very good condition for a two thousand year old piece. There are still random traces of the silver patina on the surface. I scraped off a small section the surface layer and a beautiful silver patina is revealed (see enlargement #5), up to the buyer of they want to clean the whole piece...

As described by the American Art Association in their 1924 Catalog: "Vigorously modeled in conventional forms, seated in haunches, on flat multilinear pedestals with curved feet and cusped fringe. They represent the mythical lions, called "dogs of Foo", the guardians of Buddhist temples and images. Both with open mouths, coats of waved lines and spreading tails. The male has right forepaw resting on ball of brocade and the female has left forepaw on a playful cub...

Massive Tibetan Thangka of Amitayus from the Jonathen Cob Estate, Buddha.Amitayus.is the main bodhisattva form-emanation of the fire-element. In most mandalas the fire-element has the color red, is associated with the western region of the universe and has the lotus or nectar-vase as it's symbol. The lotus stands for pure intentions of all activities, while the nectar vase, filled with the subtle life-energy (nectar) demonstrates the immense power of this element...

A rare Hu shaped vase decorated with two tubular handles to the neck and three bamboo lines to the upper side of the body. Covered overall with slight pale bluish grays celadon and black and gold crackle glazed. The base with two hole, one in the right and one in the left. Condition is good excepted a flake chip to the blackish foot rim and minor firing imperfection to the glazed, otherwise is very good, no any other chip, no any crack and free from any restoration...

Nogime (hare's fur) Tenmoku tea bowl from the Jian Kilns - made in the Northern Song Period around 960 CE. This is one of the first tea bowls in Japan, which came together with the first tea from China. More than 1000 years old!

Superbly cast bronze belt hook with a finely detailed dragon head at its top with gold and silver eyes, ears and nose, and with gold and silver inlaid geometric designs on the rest of the body. A knob at the back for attachment to a belt. Nice reddish green age patina, partly encrusted. China, Warring States period. Height: 10.5 cm. Very good condition. This incredible antiquity is a glazed ceramic offering vessel from the Song Dynasty of ancient China (960-1279 AD). A large and very impressive tomb pottery horseman, Chinese, 1368-1644 AD.

The pottery horseman a high-ranking soldier equipped with a huge broad sword at his side and body armor in blue and torquise with Mandarin batch on the chest at back. He is riding a large white horse and he is seated strongly twisting in the saddle.

Two characters with bird beaks serving as incense holders. They are in sandstone covered with lead glassures of three colors (sancai), yellow, green and manganese, these models also have a part enamelled in white. Models with animal masks are much rarer than those with human faces and probably represent the animals of the zodiac. Good condition, almost not worn, a broken and glued head visible on photos. The glassure is finely cracked. Height: 325mm. Chinese work probably 17°, but maybe before.
