A large beautiful and rare pair of colorfully glazed peacocks which were Vietnamese temple birds. The glaze is still vibrant and the sculpturing is very finely executed. Age: Mid 19th century. 80.00 Quirky big round ball of green glass; possibly sand cast- this would have been used to make a Buddha image, from Lanna culture, Northern Thailand. In the 1950s the Japanese started exporting mold cast glass images to Thailand and Laos so this practice died out around then. There is a Buddha in there waiting to be realized. Looks like one of moons of Jupiter. Weight 210grams D: 5.5cm/2.2in.

Pagan or Post Pagan Buddha in a folk style. Would have had a separately cast base for a single Buddha or a trilogy. Possibly from Arakan. Age range is wide (13thC to 17thC due to provincial style which could have been emulated for hundreds of years; not faked). Sits 9.75 inches tall. Custom base made by a metal sculptor elevates it to 12 inches...

Large Antique Vietnamese Buddha. Some losses, but overall excellent condition. Quite large at 25" tall, attached base is 18.25" wide x 13.25" deep. Hard to find this type in this quality, size, and condition. Collected by a Vietnam Veteran in 1970 in eastern Thailand while stationed at an air base there during the Vietnam war.

Late Pagan Burmese Buddha. Thickly cast, with an ancient patina. Probably 13th/14thC. Sits 8.5 inches tall, 10.75 inches on custom base. Original base removed long ago, probably at a time of scarcity of bronze, and used to make other Buddha images. Now has a custom base. This type has a distinctive face which is very expressive. Big presence. Rare type.

I have been collecting ancient stone tools for many years and this is the only mortar I have ever seen. Rare net repairing tool from the Vietnamese Nùng ethnic minority, who are closely related to the Zhuang people in Southwest China. This is carved from buffalo horn and still has a length of handspun plant fiber cord. This difficult to date as I can find no references on this particular item, suffice to say it predates the use of cheaper and easier to obtain plastic versions, so a conservative dating of about 40 years will do. Vietnamese 16th - 17th Century Blue & White Bowl

This blue & white bowl was made during the 16th - 17th century. It has a high foot and is decorated with floral and lotus leaf patterns in underglaze cobalt blue. It has a deep brown wash to the base. It is coated in a finely-crackled glaze. Inside is an unglazed ring, allowing such bowls to be stood on top of each other in the kiln without the glaze fusing them together.

Vietnamese 13th-14th Century Underglazed Bowl

This bowl was made during the 13th-14th century. It has a slightly flared rim and has been decorated in underglaze iron-brown, quite thinly in places, with floral and scrolling patterns. To the glaze in the centre are spur marks from firing. It is coated in a finely- crackled clear glaze that has hint of green.

This heavily-potted stoneware bowl was made at the Sawankhalok kilns during the 13th - 15th Century. The inner surface is decorated with an incised flower pattern in its centre surrounded by incised rings, with similar rings surrounding the inner and outer mouth.
