Unusual Archaic Chinese round jade carving, dated from the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC–24 AD), incised with wonderful scenes of a grinning man holding a Ruyi scepter, riding on the back of a chimera on one side, and on the other side is a woman dancing while a man beside her plays the flute. A fantastic piece with excellent detailing and character. Thin in design.

The Western Han (206BC - 24AD) was regarded as the first unified and powerful empire in Chinese history...
