The container's body has a lovely blue background with abstracted lotus design, old gilt on edges. The entire tree is crafted as if an actual plant is planted in the pots.The cloisonne appears to be late 19th century. The semiprecious stones are of a later vintage. DESCRIPTION: A pair of substantial, deeply carved Chinese doors originating from Zhejiang province and dating from the early 1800’s, Qing dynasty. These handsome, heavy solid elm doors still have all of their original pegs attached, which would have been set into round sockets at the top and bottom, allowing the doors to be opened and closed.

The top panels are carved with flowers and a repeating swastika pattern, the Chinese character meaning good fortune or longevity...

The gold gilt vases are mirror image and each is decorated with a panel featuring a bird on a flowering branch; the opposing side having a panel with a butterfly hovering over flowers. They are 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide. They are 283.5 gram.

A perfectly matching pair of Chinese QIANLONG blue & white hand painted tea bowls with scalloped edges. The exterior depicts chrysanthemum and prunus flowers, whereas the inside of the bowl has a single flower in the well and a fine diaper border around the rim. Condition: both have rim frits, one bowl has a nick on the rim while the other has a minor firing crack between the chrysanthemum and the prunus blossoms.
