Very Fine KANGXI Blue and White Chinese Porcelain Plate of classical beauty with blue under glaze depicting a rare and exquisitely rendered hexagonal 6-pointed star shaped center medallion, surrounded by detailed flower reserves and diaper panels of Ruyi shape. The back of the plate also has some painted decor. Period: ca. 1700. Condition: good with very minor and inconsequential rim chips/frits. Size: 10" (26 cm.) diameter.

A 17th – 18th century Neko-tora Tiger by Nagasaki school artist Watanabe Shuseki performed with ink and color on paper in yellow bronze silk border with bone rollers. The parchment is aged and gray, giving the sense of a wall painting in some ancient tomb. The scroll is 14 x 63 inches (36.5 x 160 cm). A bronze Shakyamuni buddha was kept in very good condition.
Had been gilt on the surface but just faded, there are only traces left in the pleats.
It was rarely found that the under cover at the bottom was original when tickling sound was heard inside the hollow base.
It hinted that the original devotion items were still kept within after 600 years.

Date: 15th/16th century.
