A very beautiful Tang Dynasty jar with a pale greenish and slightly bluish glaze effects. This very ancient Tang artifact (681-906 A.D.). is in excellent condition with no hairlines or noticeable damage. Lid and stand included, both which are antiques in their own right. Chinese Porcelain red glazed bowl dating to the 20th Century. The bowl has a maker's mark on the bottom and added spot drilled markings on the interior. The bowl appears to be a communal eating bowl with an owners marking. The interior mark translates to "battle ax" which may indicate it was used by a military man. A cheerful family outing adorns this rich and colorful display of a day out in the country side. Dated to the late 19th and just prior to 1891. The ginger jar is in excellent condition without chips, hairlines, with very little rubbing of the details, hardly noticeable at all. This an exquisite Satsuma tea jar from Ryozan. The gold work and painting are examples of his best workmanship. The piece is in excellent condition but the original lid is missing and this lid has a repair. It was used to help this great piece display better. A Longquan table screen was preserved in perfect condition.
It was heavily potted and shaped in good size and was decorated on one side with imprint of poems with real scholar taste.
Whitish incursions had happened to the glaze when body clay was revealed at the feet with applied darken brownish layers.
