This is a rain jacket of the high-quality indigo dyeing cloth with splashed pattern cotton of the Edo era. The lining is indigo dyeing striped cotton cloth. The cloth with splashed pattern pattern is a referee's fan and a hat. The Western hat was a stylish item of the gentlemen at that time. There are a few stains to the hem. There is no damage. The cotton is spun by hand. Size: 92cm x 368cm (36.2 "x 144.8cm")

This is a very fine and unusual Japanese Satsuma vase with relief figures. The work on this piece is highly detailed and the gold thickly applied. The Dragon and clouds are decorated with silver. The piece is in very good condition will minor wear. The Artist signature is the most worn area on the piece. With magnification it can be seen that it is signed Fuzan but it is very hard to make out. I have included a similar Fuzan mark for comparison. The vase stands 8 1/2 inches tall.

Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Tea Jar or Tea Caddy, later part of 1700's, small size 3 1/4" high, 3 1/4" wide-widest middle part, 1 1/4" diameter-top rim, with underglaze blue large floral decoration between garden rocks, plus Dragon flies flying on the other side. The condition is good, no damage or restoration except firing mark about 1/2" long on the lower part of caddy.

We offer from our private exhibition a Tibeto-Chinese large and heavy gilt bronze four faced Amitayus Buddha from the late Qing Dynasty ( 1644 - 1912 ).

The Amitayus ( Bodhisattva of Longevity ) is seated on double-lotus throne in dhyanasana and with both hands in dhyanamudra.

The statue is 17,1 inches high and 7,5kg heavy!

It is marked and in great condition.

An antique Japanese imari ware covered basin. The basin is decorated with traditional auspicious Japanese motifs such as pine, bamboo, plum, and cranes. Along with the auspicious motifs are designs often seen with imari wares such as scrolling vines and chrysanthemum-like patterns. A Guangxu mark and period plate, decorated with orchids in famille rose enamels, and a ruyi medallion border. While late Qing famille rose wares tend to be more gaudy and flashy, this particular displays surprising restraint in its design.
