A strictly museum quality, large pottery figure of a male attendant, dating to the mid Ming Dynasty, ca. 1500 AD.

The figure stands on a large Lotus throne on top of high hexagonal plint in fine Sancai colours - a two-colour blue and torqoise glazed robe. Under his arm he holds a bottle.

He wears a high hat. Finely painted facial details. Lotus thrones are very rare for Ming pottery figures.

A “Gosho Ningyo” doll of a plump kneeling male child carrying a “hyotan” gourd. The large gourd symbolizes health, vitality, prosperity and immortality. The kneeling boy is wearing a bib with painted accents in white, green, navy blue, brown and gold pigments. There are two ties in the back for the bib. A dated Chinese glass snuff bottle, overlaid with a decoration of flowers and insects.This documentary bottle bears the Bing Shen year corresponding to 1836 and its fine and detailed lapidary work makes it a highly desirable object. size: 2 1/4 inches high (6 cm). Age; 1836. condition : very good, a small section of the raised coloured ring at the base is missing. The blue glass cover is lacking its spoon.

Small wine cup and saucer of octagonal shape, decorated in under-glaze blue with lotus scrolls and flowers in panels. Kangxi to Yongzheng period, early 18th century. Diameter of saucer "4/ 10,5 cm, of cup "2 ¼ / 6 cm, height of cup: "1 ½ / 3,6 cm. Condition: a chip to the foot rim of the cup and a smaller one to the outer rim of the saucer (cf. photos).

A small house shaped incense burner by Mashimizu Zoroku enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kuzuya Koro. Inside the roof is visible cloth patterns where it was formed over wet sack-cloth. The outside has been scraped with a comb to resemble thatch. Inside a window a scholar gazes out, perhaps expecting a guest, or just contemplating the seasonal changes from the warmth of his abode. It is roughly 10.5 x 9 x 10.5 cm (4 x 3-1/2 x 4 inches) and is in excellent condition.

Cedar wooden ‘post-hide’ or hashira-kakushi that is used as a decoration of one of the posts in a room, or a horizontal post of the tokonoma (niche). The post-hide is the same width as the pillar posts in a Japanese house, hiding it thus almost completely in width.

Chinese Neolithic Hongshan Culture small jade carving of a pig dragon (zhulong) used as a burial object. The dragon is curled in an "embryonic" position. The bottom portion is carved in the form of an insect with large protruding eyes. The dragon portion of the jade is mottled green while the bottom portion is orange in color being closer to the outer rind of the jade stone.
