Burmese betel nut container, gilded relief work with glass insets. 17 cm high, 15 cm lid diameter. Undated, estimated to be late 19th/ early 20th century. generally good condition, some missing glass and crack in base. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide.

Wood statue of a bearded Taoist deity, in formal attire, sitting on a throne. China, Late Yuan, early Ming Dynasty. Height: 24.3 cm. Obvious signs of great age, otherwise good condition.

Antique betel nut box from the Philippines, composed of brass and nickel, with separate hinged compartments for the storage of various implements. The leftmost compartment is built up with slaked lime, which releases the alkaloids in the betel nut. The practice of betel nut chewing is common in many parts of South Asia. Slices of the areca nut would be wrapped in betel leaves and chewed, giving a mild stimulant effect.

A Very Fine/Rare Korean Silver Inlaid Rectangular Iron Box with Cover-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. Statue of Buddha, in monk's robes, sitting cross-legged on an oval throne, his hands in "bhumisparsa mudra" posture. Alabaster. Burma, 18th century. Height: 9.9 cm. Good condition, despite slight abrasion due to age.

Chinese porcelain cup decorated with famille rose enamel depicting a scene of scholars and children playing. "Qianlong Nianzhi" four character mark inside the foot rim, but made in 19th century. Excellent condition, the only flow is some gilt losing. Height: 2-1/4"; diameter: 3".

A very rare Chinese yellow glazed bell shape cup (鈴鐺杯) from 18th century, probably Kangxi period. Yellow color is an imperial color, to be used by royal family only. This cup is in perfect condition. Height: 2-3/4"; diameter: 3".

Japanese bronze fu-dog and ball. The playful fu-dog stands with mouth open in a dynamic pose with back feet on the ground and front paws on the ball. The ball is made of open work bronze with a design of peonies and scrolling vines.

Antique Japanese copper and bronze tsuri-doro, Buddhist temple hanging lantern. Six sided lantern with doors decorated with pierced designs of kiri blossoms and scrolling leaves. Antique Japanese rare kuruma tansu (wheeled chest). Made of solid quartered sawn keyaki (zelkova) wood with hand forged iron hardware. The upper portion of the chest has a large compartment opened by sliding panels with horizontal slats and heavy iron latch. The bottom portion has one large drawer. There is a small hidden compartment between the two portions of the chest. Gorgeous original finish with beautiful patina.
