Japanese plique-a-jour cloisonne enamel vase densely decorated with a bouquet of flowers set against a celadon green background. Chrome rims. Dates from the Occupation period (1945-1960). Measures about 3 3/4"H x 3" diameter. Very good overall condition. There is a faint interior stress crack at the shoulder that cannot be felt (see enlargements 6 and 7). The neck is very slightly tilted.

Sold to UK - September 2011 售至英国 - 2011年9月 A set of four wine cups individually painted in traditional Chinese landscape style and each bearing the verse "Xin Kuan Wang Di Zhia" which translates directly as "Heart Broad Forget Ground Narrow". The bases carry the iron red four character reign mark of the Hongxian 'emperor' (1916) but these items were probably made later, during the Republic Period, circa 1917-1949. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 4.5cm (1.75 inches) high; 6.3cm (2.3 inches) diameter.

$130.00 A charming Chinese child's padded wind hat with the face of a tiger on the front. The tiger is a fierce animal which protects children from evil. Called a wind hat because of the protection it gives to the back of the neck, this hat is made of silk and embroidered with a butterfly on each side. In good antique condition, it does have some wear. Please study photos carefully. Colors are still vivid. Circa 1910.
