A Chinese porcelain, scalloped edge, leaf shaped dish that was part of Canton pattern dinner set, exported from China to America, during the late 19th Century. The Canton pattern can be easily recognized as it shows a bridge with no man, and has a cloud border. The dish measures about 8" long x 6" wide, and 1 1/4" tall. A deformed-vase by Kiyomizu Rokubei VIII (Masahiro) formed as a closed cylindar then cut to allow the clay to mis-shape during the firing process. The shishi measures about 4" high x 6 3/4" long, it weighs 43 ounces, and it dates to the 19th Century. The condition is excellent with some casting flaws.
