Silk crepe kimono with modern design whose techniques are katazome (stencil-resist-dye) and hand-painting. Unusual pair of Korean inlaid black lacquer ichung nong stacking chests on stands. The interior of each section is lined in original blue paper. The front Nong has a brass plate in the form of a butterfly with complete circle knob brass locks and key and brass butterfly hinges on each door. Japanese calligraphy box made with Keyaki (elm) wood in original dark red lacquer finish. The lid lifts open on three iron hinges with a top iron handle to a shallow lacquered compartment for storing calligraphy papers, and closes securely with a small iron latch. The front of the box holds three drawers with iron lock plates and handles on floral shaped iron mounts.

A very rare and unusual large Chinese scroll painting done in the Japanese style of a bird in a cage with a bamboo tree and netting. Some gold leaf work on the leaves. A famille rose enameled porcelain plate decorated with dragons, phoenix, crane, butterflies and other motifs on coral-red ground, a six character red enamel "Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" mark is on the bottom. This plate was one of the party wares with similar designs made for Emperor Guangxu's wedding in 1888. The plate is in excellent condition beside some scratches on enamel - no chip, no hairline and no restoration. Diameter: 9"

Statue of Kuan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, In formal attire, wearing a diadem, sitting cross-legged, her hands in praying posture. Wood, with remnants of polychrome coloring. China, 19th century or earlier. Height: 22.7 cm. Abrasion due to age, otherwise good condition.

It is a decent Qingbai ware with height of 10.9 cm and width of 10.4.
One similar piece is in the book of " Qingbai Ware-Chinese Porcelain of the Song and Yuan Dynasties " (2002),The Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art. P174, figure93.

A large and well potted porcelain brush washer with Guan type glaze (仿官釉). 18th century. The washer is in perfect antique condition. Diameter:11-3/8", height: 6-1/2".

This is a great example Meiji Era satsuma. It is probably my favorite piece from Shizan. The colors are rich and the detail is fantastic. It stands 4 3/4 inches tall. This Ewer is in nearly perfect condition.
