The hollow tube handles associate this type of vase with the arrow game pastime but this example, given the small diameters involved would be unsuitable. An antique Japanese Kansai Tansu in an unusual and unique multi-drawer design made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. All original bronze hardware with straight dovetail joinery and using hardened wood nails in its construction.
