On Hold This is a very fine vintage Plique-a-Jour bowl. It is prolifically decorated with colorful hydrangea and butterflies. It is a petite bowl measuring 3 3/4 inches across and 2 inches tall. An uncommon piece in excellent condition.

On Hold This is a small but very beautiful little vase from the Meiji Era. It is highly detailed and except for the leaves and branches, it was done in the basse-taille styl. The glowing cobalt color is even more intense in person. best in the last image. This vase stands just 2 1/2 inches tall and is 1 3/4 inches wide. It has silver rims and is signed on the bottom Kawaguchi Bunzaeoman.

Beautiful hand painted (dyed) iris on soft 100 percent silk. Some designs are dyed to be matched for the wider width. This is probably from mid Showa, 40 to 60 years old, no color loss. The spots and the design that run sideway are part of the woven design. Full roll and good quality silk. I will get the measurement.

Price on Request Old Japanese Kutani dishes placed in the carved wood tray. Each dish is hand painted and signed at the bottom, "Gyokuzan". The diameter of the tray is 14 inches. Some gilt wear at the rim of some dishes.

$3800.00 This is a special piece of Meiji Era Cloisonne Art. The jar is covered with colorful butterflies flying against a very dark blue/black enamel background. The jar measures 4 1/4 tall by 3 5/8 inches wide. Condition is outstanding but not perfect due to a very tiny blemish. The blemish can be seen in the first image next to the flash reflection.

SOLD This is a beautiful complex wire and wireless Japanese cloisonne vase. Though it is not signed, it was made by Gonda Hirosuke during the Meiji Era, circa 1910. All pieces like this we ever seen signed have been signed Gonda. Very few of these wireless fish vases were made by Gonda.
The vase is in excellent condition and has silver rims. It was created before Japan began stamping rims with the "jun gin' silver mark in the early 1900's. It stands 7 inches tall and is 7 inches wide.
