$425.00 1) Stoneware incense box or kogo in the shape of an onna daruma (female daruma). She sits in the typical way, all rolled up in her garment, indicating that arms and legs may have fallen off. Her face shows striking similarity to Okame. Cream colored and reddish brown glaze over whitish soft clay, the face left partially free, fine crackle in the glaze. Japan, Meiji period.

Sold. Two Chinese blue and white porcelain plates with lobbed rims. The center painted in deep underglaze blue with a lady and a dancing boy in a fenced garden, the border showing female figures under a willow, flowering trees and geometric patterns. The back with ruyi heads and scrolls. Dating to the early 18th century (Yongzheng period 1722-1735). Condition: fine, only the centers with minimal tiny wear - no hairlines or restorations. A pair of silk applique roundels for a robe, lavishly embroidered in satin stitch, tiny Peking knot and couched gold wrapped thread. One showing two boys at play, the other one depicting the immortal He Xiangu with attendant in a boat amidst flowers and auspicious symbols. Condition: slightly stained, the one with the boys has traces of former humidity, especially from behind. Dimension: 23.5 cm diameter.

$950.00 Two very unique and richly painted Chinese porcelain hat stands of the late 19th century. Charming scenes of the traditional family relaxing in an open garden setting, the garments are painted in various bright colors against a backdrop of nature. Condition is excellent with no hairlines or chips, just some minor rubbing of the gold trim and very trace fading of the details, yet all details are distinct and complete. These measure 11" high x 4.5" diameter.

Two Edo period finely executed Japanese lacquered wood dishes, each decorated with a gold "mon" (family crest), pawlonia, and scrolling foliage set against a brown/black ground. Provenance: Swiss-Dutch family living in Indonesia in the first half of the 20th C. Condition: few traces of usage.
