Chinese Qing dynasty blue and white porcelain dish decorated at the center with five immortals and a young boy all surrounded by a band of bats at the rim. 8 5/8” diameter x 1/2" high. 19th century or possibly earlier. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is kiln grit adhering to the center of the base and to the foot rim. From the collection of a former American expatriate to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.

Chinese Qing dynasty bronze compressed globular bombe form censer with two well executed Buddhist lion-mask handles. High circular foot with an apocryphal six-character Ming Xuande reign mark in relief within a recessed rectangular panel on the base. 5 1/2” diameter (including handles) x 2 5/8” high. Chinese Qing dynasty ornately carved rootwood fly-whisk handle. Fly-whisks were carried by Buddhist priests to wave away flies which, according to Buddhist tenets, they could not kill.
