Japanese antique bamboo basket, with beautiful handle attached at the lower sides and bound with special decorative stylized knots. Hexagonal body of woven herringbone pattern. Feet at bottom are made of special decorative knots that are attached to ribbed shaped splines. Signed at bottom. The characters are: 寿雲斎作 "Made by Juunsai (寿雲斎)". Overall excellent condition.

Chinese Jade carving of a maiden representing "Yuenu", a historic figure famous for her ability at archery and how to use a sword. She came from the Chinese province of Zhejiang and is sometimes called the Maiden of the Southern Forrest. The jade is beautifully carved with her holding a sword in her left hand and a ruyi scepter in her right, cloths flowing in the wind.

Japanese antique wisteria branch handle with branch also at the rim of the basket opening. The branch has great texture with it's knobs and twists. Alternating wide flat bamboo with narrower bamboo slats on a bulbous body, ending in a circular base.

Chinese antique bronze incensor of immortal riding three legged toad, animated modeling of sage joyously riding on money toad with upraised arms and balancing on raised leg. Figure lifts off as cover to container which is the frog's body. Dark patinated bronze. Good condition.

This finely detailed Chinese porcelain plate would make a fine addition to any Rose Mandarin or Rose Medallion collection. It is unusual in that the central medallion features a group of scholars. The rough and somewhat gritty bottom of the plate without any factory markings suggest a factory production circa 1850-1891. In very good antique condition, there is some wear to the enameling in one spot. See photos. Measures 9.5 inches diameter.

Up for sale is an antique Chinese Manchu woman's informal domestic robe, 19th century; pink silk ground and ribbons/trims all embroidered with orchids and butterflies, lined with yellow silk. This is a very fine pair of Japanese satsuma vases that stand just 4 1/4 inches tall. Attractive form, enamel colors and very fine details. They look like they have spent most of their lives stored in the box. One has the original sticker and both are signed. The signature looks a bit like the Kozan mark but we are not sure. Some of the larger flowers remind us of work seen on Bizan and Yabu pieces.
