Pair of (1940's) Chinese Cherry Amber Carved Vase with Kids

Each is 13.3 inches (34 cm) tall by 6.2 inches (15.9 cm) wide, and 11.75 inches (30 cm) tall by 5.6 inches (14.2 cm) wide without stand. The amber are 3192 gram. The total weight is 7.7 Lb.

The amber have small chips, inclusions, and surface wears and scratches. The wood carved stands have cracks and one stand was glued back (as seen in the photos).

Finely potted porcelain dish with milky white glaze, the broad border moulded with ruyi heads. The center with fine depiction of a kirin, painted in green enamel, iron red and some gold. Please refer to: "Kakiemon Porcelain - A Handbook" by Menno Fitski, No. 126. Condition: little wear to painted area, base with a star crack, rim with a short hairline and a firing default. Dimension: diameter: 14.8 cm, 3.1 cm high.

Antique Japanese two-section gifu choba tansu (accountant's chest) made with Hinoki (cypress) and Sugi (cedar) wood. The top section has two sliding doors with slats, and an open compartment inside with two drawers. The bottom section has an open storage compartment behind another pair of sliding doors, with five drawers and a lock safe.

Antique Japanese Funa Tansu (ship safe chest) in original red lacquer Urushi finish. With heavy black iron fittings, a top handle for carrying. The front hinged door plated in iron, incised with Kiri leaf and peony designs, the side lock incised with mushrooms. The interior holds five drawers of varying size with pull handles. Included with a copy of antique certification from Oct. 17 1973.
