Condition: Very good. The tonal difference at the lower right corner appears to be an impression flaw, rather than a matte line.

Chinese low cabinet made entirely out of beautiful light color hardwood, possible Huali, the two doors are carved with a raised floral design in the center surrounded by a raised key fret motif, hardware is made of brass, the interior has one shelf, very solid, early/mid 20th century. Size: 32" high x 40" wide x 18" deep.

A fine antique Japanese scholar rock. The patterns seen on the rock appear like the jagged rocks seen in Northern style Chinese landscape paintings. These rocks were often used for contemplation and promote the ideals of the literati. Age: 20th century Size: Length 7" Width 1.75" Height 5.5"

A splendid antique Chinese agate snuff bottle with a motif of a fish jumping out of the water. The carving is done where the artist used the distinct colorations of the stone emphasizing the fish. Age: 20th century Size: Length 2.25" Width 1.25" Height 0.75"

An early snow covers the branches of a ragged pine, the clutches of autumn still evident in the red tinged leaves of ivy clinging tremulously to the limbs. This is a spectacular large Kyo-yaki work signed on the base Seifu and enclosed in a period wooden box. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, it is nearly 10 inches (25 cm) diameter, 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) to the top of the lid and in excellent condition. This is the work of Seifu Yohei I.

Chinese porcelain brush pot decorated with the eight immortals of Daoism. Each immortal is engaged in a spell that they are known for. The immortals are surrounded with auspicious motifs closely related with the Daoist tradition. Signed, Age: 19th century Size: Diameter 4" Height 5.25"

A small yet resplendent Japanese four panel folding screen. In Japan, small screens are often referred to as, Hina Byobu. The view is showing a waterfall with different flora and fauna.The work has the distinct characteristics of the Kano school which was the dominant school of painting in Japan. DESCRIPTION: A handsome scholar's calligraphy brush, crafted from a wood shaft that has been beautifully lacquered in a swirling, wave-like pattern of red and black lacquer. The lacquer shaft is connected to the natural bristle brush by a bulbous wood ferrule. Very rare and exceptional Late Edo/Early Meiji Period C.1880 bronze buddhist temple lantern. Originally held a small dish for an oil lamp. Thick heavy bronze that has oxidized with time to produce a lovely blue/green patina. On tripod legs with fantastic vine motif on the main body panels. Hinges on door still work. Lost wax cast. A large heavy bottle vase depicting two confronting five clawed dragons amongst clouds and flames and above breaking waves. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795)but possibly made later during the 19th Century.
