Japanese antique bronze censor, decorated all over with archaic motifs and scrolling vines, stands on three legs with heads of horned mythical creatures, the base is covered with rolling waves, handles in the form of fu-dogs, lid is covered with clouds and topped with a fu-dog, rectangular cartouche on bottom, illegible. This is traditional Bugaku- clothes of the Edo era. This is the form that is traditional in silk twill fabrics. It has two extremely small holes. There are no stain and damage. The pattern is Ganryo- dyeing. It can be hardly exhibited at the market. Size 193cm x 186cm (75.9 "x 73.2")

A model of He Xiangu holding a flower basket, the only female deity among the Eight Immortals. Worked in silver and enamel, the head, hands and basket are detachable. Base marked with Chinese characters. Dating to the late Qing or early 20th century. Condition: losses to enamel and some oxydations under the enamel, one earring with small loss. Please look carefully at the photos. Dimension: 29.8 cm high, weight: over 500 g.

Japanese choba from Sakata area, Japan. Made entirely of Keyaki wood (elm) with burl wood. Heavy iron hardware, including elaborately cut lock plates with square shaped handles, the side has warabite shaped handles. The pulls for opening the sliding panels are inlaid with mother of pearl and edge with carved persimmon. Interior has one shelf. Well crafted joinery and tenons original lacquered finish in excellent condition.

Beautiful antique Burmese Sutra, printed on leaves depicting different stories of the Buddha with his teachings. With fine printed writings on the back side and around the edges. Incised and stained with ink. Held together with lacquered and gilted wood with a raised scrolling leaves designs, lions and elephants. Age: Late 19th Century / early 20th century. A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls.
