The stone is of medium celadon hue with a few darker spots as seen in the images, the quality of the carving is fine and detailed, especially in the head area. 19th Century Chinese Gilt Bronze Dragon Belt Buckle with Jadeite & Tourmaline

The overall measurement is 4.2 inches (10.7 cm) long by 0.9 inch (2.4 cm) wide. The jadeite range from is 20.8 mm to 34.9 mm long by 11.3 mm to 15.6 mm wide. The tourmaline is 9.4 mm long by 6.76 mm wide. It is 41.5 gram.

It has rubbing of gilt and surface wears and scratches. The jadeite and tourmaline have inclusions and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

This dress is often known as Shirabyoshi where these were sacred dances offered to the gods. The shirabyoshi figure evokes the Heian and Kamakura aesthetic and the legends contemporary to the era that portray the Shirabyoshi. Work is signed and sealed by an artist named Nanko.
