A beautifully shaped green vessel by Miyashita Zenju enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It stands 10 inches (25.5 cm) tall, 8-1/2 inches (22 cm) diameter and is in fine condition.
Zenju (1901-1968) studied pottery in Japan, Korea and China, and is held in the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art as well as the Kyoto National Museum. Description:

A Yaozhou shallow bowl was in decent look with persimmon glaze.
The glaze was covered all over the surface except to the foot ring.
The foot ring was shaped in domed edge and was revealed with the body clay in gray tint when stingy-feel burial adhesives(BaoJiang) was preserved on the tip of the foot ring for verification.
The glaze surface was reflected in retrospective sheen in old look.

Early to mid 19th century game box, holding a box of bone playing tokens plus two lacquered wooden trays on the left and 8 sculpted lacquer trays on the right. Generally the box is in good condition. The outside has some fading, age wear and chips. The legs have had some repairs. The interior is in very good condition. Dimensions: 32x16x12 cm.
