Antique Chinese Dehua (blanc de Chine) porcelain figure of Guan Yin, the feminine Chinese translation of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara. Holding a scroll in her left hand and prayer beads in her right, she sits with one knee raised. Her robes drape elegantly over her head and body. Her hair is swept up into a style befitting her bodhisattva status and her face exudes a sense of calm and extreme beauty. There is an impressed character mark on her back.

This is mikuni-sashiko Indigo dye cotton noragi (Work clothes)textile of the Meiji era(1868-1912). It is cotton and sashiko stitch of very beautiful indigo dyeing. I can enjoy it with the both sides. It is very rare textile. I recommend it to collection of you. This is textile made in Fukui region. All this sashiko stitches are made by hand. It does not have a stain and damage. We are glad to offer you a rare and stunning Kosobe-yaki Chawan with a beautiful hand painting of pines and cranes, under thick cream colored glaze on very thinly potted clay blended with shiseki for great effect. This is likely the work of the second or third generation Shinbei, both known for their Korai-Utsushi (Korean style) wares. Finding such a delicate Chawan in such good condition from the Edo period is exceedingly rare. It comes with a shiho-san wooden box.

Tray hollowed out from a single tree coated with lacquer finishing, once actually used for votive offering when ritual, Korean Peninsula, mid 20th century, approx. D 32.5 x H 7.5cm (12.79 x 2.95in). Some expected signs of use due to aging, but generally in good vintage condition as is as seen.
