A charming antique Chinese basket with basket weave bottom. The inside of the basket is lacquered in red over black, while the rim and exterior are black lacquered with gilt lacquer banding and motifs of butterflies, fruits, and flowers. The basket has a lovely patina and wear consistent with age.
