Mint Oni-Hagi masterpiece chawan with notched foot by star potter Seigan Yamane. This extraordinary tea bowl is covered by wonderful different shades of green and purple glaze on brown pottery. In my opinion it is the one of the most aesthetic chawans that he made. The seal of the artist is stamped on the bottom. We have a similar chawan with orange-red glaze - same price.

Korean vanity box made with persimmon wood panels. The box lid opens with brass hinges and brass front plating, incised with floral motifs. The interior of the box holds 4 compartments. Its sides conceal two small hidden drawers, opened by brass pulls, and the base of the piece has an interior low shelf.

An unusual round paitong brass ink container with a floral design from the Ming period. Inside there are still remains of old dried out black ink. Signed on the underside, probably the maker. Size: Diameter. 7.8cm. H. 2.8cm. Condition: No repairs some wear from centuries of use.

Trunk box made of wicker, bamboo and leather. It has washi (Japanese handmade paper) lining with kanji letters. It has black leather for reinforcement. Very Rare and unusual highly inlaid Korean two section chest. Decorated with nine serpentine dragons of mother of pearl and faux tortoiseshell in horn. The front Nong has a brass escutcheon in the form of a butterfly with cut out detialing in its wings. It has complete circle knob brass locks and key. The confronting 4 clawed dragons are tessellated in mother of pearl, twisted brass wires, and faux tortoiseshell in horn.
