A deformed-vase by Kiyomizu Rokubei VIII (Masahiro) formed as a closed cylindar then cut to allow the clay to mis-shape during the firing process. It is covered in dark glaze with highlights of yellow. It is 10-1/4 inches (20 cm) diameter, 11-1/2 inches (24 cm) tall and in excellent condition. A Chinese porcelain, scalloped edge, leaf shaped dish that was part of Canton pattern dinner set, exported from China to America, during the late 19th Century. The Canton pattern can be easily recognized as it shows a bridge with no man, and has a cloud border. The dish measures about 8" long x 6" wide, and 1 1/4" tall. The condition is very good with a couple very small frets and a chip on the foot rim. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.
