Antique Japanese scroll painting of the wrathful guardian deity Fudo Myo-O standing along the edge of a cliff. His two fangs poke out of his mouth pointing in opposite directions. The sword he wields is named Kurikara, the demon slayer. The rope he holds in his opposite hand is used to bind demons. A ring of purifying flames burns around his backside. This extraordinary piece depicting what appears to be a learned scholar (possibly of foreign origin?) being escorted by a young vassal, is done in fine white porcelain from the Hirado region of Japan. Antique Chinese small Hardwood ruyi scepter, beautifully hand-carved with a curved handle and a lotus pod on its end with freely moving lotus seeds. Ruyi scepters are used in Buddhist ceremonies to bring good fortune. 19th Century. Size: 10" L x 2" W x 2" H

Antique Japanese fan painting of a single bat in sumi-e ink on paper. Signed by the artist. The painting is 18th century, later mounted as a scroll. The surface of the painting is very unusual and has a slight opalescent quality.

Antique Japanese Noh theater mask of a woman, possibly Kohime, with black lacquer hair showing three loose strands on each side, bright red lacquer lips, pale face with blackened lips and sharpened eyes. Vintage Chinese jadeite bangle, carved with a wide, flat form. Lovely natural purple/green coloration with splashes of apple green.

This is a very fine small Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of early Namikawa cloisonne pieces. This vase like Namikawa works has butterflies, high sheen mottled enamels and gilt wires. Even so we believe it was probably made by Honda. This heavy piece stands 4 3/4 inches and the condition is nearly mint.

Beautiful Japanese sterling silver dish, of a foliate form, embossed with elegant arrangements of flowers, on tripod petal feet.
