This glass inside painting snuff bottle is 3 1/4" high, 2" wide and 7/8” thick. The bottle has an orange banded agate cap. The snuff bottle is dated 1997. The artist’s name is Yu Shi. Yu Shi's original name is Zhang Yu-Xiao. He was born in 1979 in Hebei province. He enjoys painting Buddha, Guan-Yin, Bodhidharma and other Buddhist figures. Antique Japanese small zushi, a shrine made for traveling. Carved of wood and lacquered black on the outside, the tiny doors open to reveal the figure of a praying abbott standing on a lotus pedestal. The interior of the shrine as well as the abbott himself are all lacquered gold and he holds a tiny strand of glass prayer beads. There is a tiny metal hook on the top of the zushi.

Silver cocktail shaker with strainer and detachable cap. Embossed decoration of a dragon and a round cartouche with monogram on a shagreen simulating ground. Base marked "Nanking", mark of the Nanking Silver Store in Shanghai. Condition: the cap with one, the foot and beaker's rim with small dents. Dimension: 26.2 cm high, diameter: 10.7 cm, weight: 406 g.

An interesting gunpowder horn dating to the 19th / early 20th century. The slightly curved body is made from water buffalo horn, carved with different motifs as tendrils, fisch scales and Singa masks. The suspension area and the closing mechanism with Singa head, the wide end with a wooden stopper. The gunpowder was stored in the Batak house in large gourds, the chief carried his own personal supply in such containers like this one, which he wore suspended from a chain around his neck.
