A high quality cloisonne vase dating from the Meiji period. Design of ho-o birds among clouds on a green speckled ground. The shoulder with flowers on a black spiral ground. Bottom, rim and wires are gilt. With wood stand. Condition: rim with a small dent (see picture No. 6). Small area with only under the magnifying glass visible imperfections. Dimension: 12.1 cm high. Same shape and close design to item# 1174589.

sold Spectacular Meiji Period maru obi c.1900. Woven on both sides with a jacquard loom, the blue/green dyes make this a superb example of a Kyoto style obi. The motifs are fans with pine, plum, bamboo, chrysanthemum and cranes; all auspicious symbols of happiness and good fortune. Excellent condition. Can be made into table runners or hangings. $580.00 This is Tsutsugaki firefighter coat of Edo era (1800-1860). This is cotton Hanten spun by hand of thick indigo dyeing. It is a design very impressive beautifully. Like F1 ~ F5, this has the part that some indigo blue changed. Both cuffs have damage such as F6.

A Japanese "arrow toss" game vase made of copper and decorated with polychrome enamels, the rims and wires are gilt. Showing antiques and auspicious symbols on a white ground, the base with "fuku" mark. $580.00 This is shirushi-Hanten which a firefighter wore. A member of Nu-gumi wore this. The letter of the collar is written as Nu-gumi.
The inside is good blue-colored cotton of the natural indigo plant. It is the good cotton that both sides were spun by hand.
The small hole such as the image is it in three places and thin stain two places. The others are complete. Size 107cm x 120cm (42.1 "x 47.2")
