An exceptional Antique PATTANI THAI KRIS,19th Century, with fine waving steel blade, a carved wooden king fisher bird's head handle and golden metal button at the bottom of the handle. An original wooden sheath, total length 21". Good condition overall.

This is an 18th century, or early 19th century Balinese iron buckle, decorated with serpent motifs with gold inlay. There is some age-related rubbing with associated loss to the inlay, as would be expected. There is an inlaid calligraphic inscription to the back of the "fastener," which I have not had translated. The pieces measure, variously, 2-5/8" X 2-1/2" for the buckle, and 2-1/2" X 1-1/2" for the "fastener." The listing is for both pieces.

A cache of 9 very fine old silver coins from the Mon period from which is now Burma. One side has the symbol of the Sun , the other the symbol of a (Srivatsa) Temple. Weight: Total, 87 grams. Average size: Diameter, 2cm.Condition: Very fine.

Household protector made of wood, carved to represent two Janus type heads surmounted by horns. This protector was installed on top of a house roof. Beautiful age patina. Indonesia, Timor Island. A cast bronze cattle bell decorated with a kind of garland. Dating to the Eastern Javanese Period. For a similar bell please refer to: "Indo-Javanese Metalwork" by Linden-Museum Stuttgart, no. 205. A small Sino-Tibetan bronze figure seated in meditation atop a lotus pedestal, with copper plated base impressed with a double vajra consecration mark. The robes on the figure are incised with repeating double happiness symbols.

Ayutthaya period small gilded bronze Buddha on throne. Cast in two parts. H. 15 cm. Condition: expected age wear, very good patina, minor damage to the footrim of the throne.

Burmese puppet head was mainly used in the puppet show. Due to the heavily used of puppets, the body and costumes are no longer survived.
