Very rare hand carved Baroque Church Putto (Cherub), wood with traces of gilding and polychrome paint, made for corner/angle where 2 walls join. Exceptional AMARAPURA Crowned Buddha in Royal attire subduing Mara. Gilded wood with finely coloured glass-mirror inlays which points to the early Konbuang Period (1752-1885). The back of the throne has a special niche (opening) for relics. Condition good with several fissures due to age which adds character to this stunning collector's item. Size: H. 55 cm. x W. 26 cm. x D. 22 cm.

Hand carved Baroque polychrome wooden cupid angel, typical chubby features of the period. Original black and red patina with gilding. Antique Shan State Bronze RAIN BUDDHA on original Platform/Base. 18th Century, Burma. The Buddha is refined and serene with downcast eyes and both arms pendant by the sides in "Calling for Rain" position. Nice natural Verdigris patina and difficult to find. One of the back base supports has been repaired, but is inconsequential and unnoticeable. Size: H. 10cm x W. 3.5cm x D. 9 cm.
