SOLD A Very Rare Korean Unified Silla Bronze Standing Figure-8th-10th C.: $3,200
Korea, Unified Silla Period, 8th to 10th century, an old natural greenish dark black patina.
It is a cast solid, standing on a lotus pedestal base and cast with drapery falling in u-shaped folds
from the neck to the ankles, back cast of the figure open including its head
with an old natural patina.
It’s in fair condition in its age, it measures 3. 7/8" ( 9.8cm ) approx.

Sold A garment-hook or belt-fitting in the shape of a horse, made of bronze with green patination. According to the Brooklyn Museum, these belt hooks in the form of a horse come from Lelang, one of three commandaries, or colonies, that the Chinese established in northwest Korea during the Han dynasty and that lasted more than four hundred years (108 B.C.E.–313 C.E.). The horse’s shape is reminiscent of depictions in the nomadic Scytho-Siberian culture of Central Asia...

Condition: unusually, very good - there is a 2mm hole in the foot (possibly drilled at the time of making for a strengthening rivet)- please view enlargement 7 - and there are a number of shallow scarcely visible bumps, the largest with associated surface abrasion...

SOLD Very Rare Korean Goryeo Iron Gold/Silver Inlaid壽 Sutra/Relics Bowl Lid-12th / 13th C.:
Korea, Goryeo dynasty, 11th – 13th century.
Its top surround circle inlaid with 壽 (longevity) in gold and gentle dome shape lid inlaid with 4壽 in gold and leaf scrolled in silver over the surface and on around the edges inlaid in silver with lotus leaves.
It seems to be used for a sutra or relics bowl presumably, but not it exist only lid...

This is the only ancient Korean mace ever offered for sale. The few existing examples are all in museums in Korea. It is from the Early Joseon Dynasty, 16th Century or earlier. Only Korea has this type of straight mace with a perfectly round head. And the head is made from iron insets just like the scales on Korean royal armor. 22 inches (46 cm) long, 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide.
One-Of-A-Kind 18th Century Korean Staff Sword, Changpogeom, a style of sword unique to Korea, with seven gold inlay dots on each side representing the Seven Star Spirit (Chilseong), an ancient Daoist deity that controls fortune. Large 19th Century Korean Sharkskin Jang Geom Sword with Silver Overlay. The scabbard is covered in sharkskin and lacquered black over that. The handle is very interesting and is covered in sharkskin underneath the heavy leather wrapping, and over the sharkskin there is a thick brass foil that is hammered to look like sharkskin.
