The artist’s block signature and English title are in the bottom margin. This image was printed posthumously by the Yoshida family from the original blocks. On the back in the lower corner is written in Japanese “later printing by Komatsu Heihachi.” Paper: 14 1/2” x 21 1/2" (image: 11 3/4" x 19 1/2")...

The black ink signature and red seal of the artist are at the lower right. The seals of the publisher Doi Sadaichi (used 1933-1945), carver Ikeda, and printer Matsushita are in the lower left margin...

As it would seem that the Chinese characters simply describe the scenes represented and not the name of the artist, only specialists will be able to know who it is...

The poem above speaks of how the snake will become a dragon which will make clouds of white cherry blossoms in the mountains. Snakes and dragons are closely associated with water. The poems alludes to a wish for rain and the blossoming of Spring.
