Set under the glass in an oval silver frame mounted in a beautifully carved solid ebony wood frame carved with floral decoration standing on two ornate feet with an easel at the back to stand. The painting itself features the classic symmetrical view of the marble structure set behind its reflecting pool...

A painting in gouache on paper depicting Krishna as a seven year old boy in dancing costume. In this form he is known as Shri Nathji. This distinct tradition emanates from Nathadwara in Rajasthan and these paintings were probably intended for domestic shrines. 19th century.

This is a well-painted double-sided erotic miniature, 19th century or earlier. The painting has slight staining and is affixed to a paper frame (slightly torn, as shown in the photographs)by the edges of the manuscript, not impinging on the painting(s) themselves. Possibly from a Kama Sutra text, or the Gulistan. The leaf measures 4-1/4" X 7". Gold highlights.
