An antique Chinese dehua (also known as blanc de chine) of a man riding a donkey-like animal. Unlike the normal subject matter often produced in dehua porcelain, the figure is not dressed in a Chinese manner, but in a European style. The back contains two seals: the gourd shaped seal reads: dehua and the square seal is possibly the artist name, which translates as: seal of Ke Qianzhong. Age: Late 19th -20th century. Antique Chinese Hardwood oblong shaped box carved from a single piece of wood. The lid and the base fit together snuggly. The lid has a carved recess on the interior. The base has a carved recess on the exterior. It measures 5.25"wide 8.5" long 2" tall.

A fine,large and very rare eight sided documentary vase (with fitted wood stand) - decorated in Chinese scholar's taste and bearing two poems. The first, small poem on the neck of the vase, describes the under glaze blue painted picture on the reverse side. Roughly translated - "Fisherman looks across riverbank - there are Huang Yang trees. There are three roads leading home and he carries a 'dan' (two baskets with carrying yoke)...

A Tang bronze mirror was finely cast in beautiful motifs.
It was in perfect condition with the harden burial adhesives on the surface.
